  BACKER ROD
Diamond Jumbolon backer rods consist of directly extruded Polyethylene foam of very fine closed cell structure giving best results in vast range of applications. It is supplied in cord form to be used as a back-up material for expansion joint sealants.

     METHOD OF APPLICATION

Pushed in a joint by a blunt tool to avoid damage to the cord. It is recommended to use approximately 25% greater diameter cord than the width of the joint so the cord fits tightly in the joint. This will give a firm backing and a correct width and depth required for sealant.
